Oddsox Logo?

Version 1:
This is a possilibity for the Oddsox Logo. Do you like it? Please let us know! Leave a comment. :)

Version 2:
I've changed the background colour of the circle - I really like the radial gradient. I've made the text taller such that the O's are now circular (which matches the actual logo). Personally not convinced about the multi-coloured text - I think it makes it too busy... What do you think?

Version 3:
Ok, back to one colour for the text. Keep those suggestions coming. :)

Version 4:
This is an adaptation of Version 2 (which looks like the one we're going with - hence the new website banner!), which could be used sometimes when we just want the circular logo. eg. This could go on the kick drum!! :D

Gig: Kingston Primary School

As the first stop on the Oddsox tour, we're heading down south to Kingston Primary School to put on a show during lunch break.

Details:
Thurs 24-Nov 12:50-1:30
Kingston Primary School
Kingston, TAS
Who can come: Kingston Primary Students

UPDATE: 24-Nov
Band traversed the state for the maiden event planned on the Amazing Oddsox Tour Extraveganza. We had an awesome time, music was 'tight', kids were really getting into it and there were a few - probably 100 kids (at the most). It was really good to get our feet in the door of a State School and be able to preach Jesus Christ in an understandable and not confrontational way. [more soon, out]

Gig: St John's Breaky-Fest

St John's Anglican Church, Launceston has replaced their fair this year with a special event called Breaky-Fest. On the morning of Sat 26th November, come along and feast on egg+bacon muffins, pancakes, sausages, cakes, FREE home-made lemon cordial and all sorts of other treats. As you might guess, what with this being the Oddsox Website, Breaky-Fest is featuring Oddsox! We'll be playing from 8:30-10:30. So come early to fully experience Breaky-Fest, then you can continue on to the Launceston Christmas Parade!

Details:
Sat 26-Nov 8:30am-10:30am
St John's Anglican Church
157 St John St, Launceston
Who can come: General Public - All Welcome :)

UPDATE: 28-Nov
A good show. We had lots of fun even though there were few kids actually around where we were playing (mainly due to the stage position). People were still entertained as our music carried a fair distance around the fair-like atmosphere of 'Breaky-Fest'. Excellent.

Gig: The Way Christian Church

Oddsox will be playing at the 10am service at The Way Christian Church down in Hobart.

Details:
Sun 27-Nov 10am Service
The Way Christian Church
34 Degraves Street, South Hobart

UPDATE: 28-Nov
Gig went off its 'nut'. This was a whole lot of fun. The kids were dancing and singing and the music was fairly tight. A really fun time for children's ministry leaders and children alike. We were treated to free accommodation and food, which was a blessing, and all in all the best Hobart trip yet!

Gig: Beaconsfield Primary School

Oddsox will be playing during lunch time at Beaconsfield Primary on the 29th of November.

Details:
Tues 29-Nov 12:50-1:30
Beaconsfield Primary School
Beaconsfield
Who can come: Beaconsfield Primary Students

UPDATE: 30-Nov
This was lots of fun! Kids everywhere, enjoying themselves, jumping, clapping and doing "the banana". The children at Beaconsfield Primary had an ecstatic time as they sang and danced, also learning about Jesus in a non-threatening non-confrontational way.

UPDATE: 8-Dec
Photos are now available (no children though, sorry)

Family: My wife, Shelley! Also dog; see below.

Pets: Molly the dog. She is a big black Labrador – she isn’t scary though, she wouldn’t hurt a fly!

Favourite Colour Socks: Invisible socks! They are the best because if you are wearing them, you are probably wearing sandals and that means it is summer! My favourite time of year!

Favourite TV Show: Australian Idol, Bear in the Big Blue House. (Seriously)

Favourite OddSox Song: I really like the tough sound of Dance but I also like It’s Enough because of its all round catchy-ness. It’s Enough also talks about how it is enough for God to be our friend and for Him to want to be with us.
It is an awesome thing that the God who created everything wants to be our friend

Site Updates

We've finally got around to updating the site. There's now a list of upcoming gigs to in the side bar to the right. At the time of writing, this has a list of gigs coming up for the tour!

The colour scheme has been worked on considerably to make it more colourful. :D (It was ALL blue before, which was a little boring.) Any comments re the new colour scheme are most welcome. :)

Kudos to Humphrey for the suggestions of the base yellow and orange colours. :)
