The Official Oddsox Website can now be found here at the new address: http://oddsox.blogspot.com/. (not oddsoxband.blogspot.com) Thanks to Cher for allowing us to use this address.

We're also in the process of organising a domain name, so watch out for an even better address coming soon! :D

Oddsox will be gracing the balmy east coast with its cheery stylings and fast-paced dance moves this Thursday, 19th of January. CMS Summerview is the Tasmanian CMS Summer Conference, held in Bicheno. The conference itself is for adults, but there are great youth and children's programs running as part of it. Oddsox will be playing for the children and youth at 11am, and again at 2pm for some of the adults to take a look too. Come and meet the gang and join in on the fun!

This gig was great fun. It was a nice trip down to Bicheno for the oddsox team (except for Matt, Andrew and Thomas who were already there!) and were rewarded handsomly with an enthusiastic turnout. It was a hot summer's day as predicted but the kids managed to hold out for a little over an hour (longer than most shows) with their enthusiasm and legs intact. :)

The adults enjoyed the event too: the Anglican Bishop of Tasmania, John Harrower even joined in up the front with the actions for J-E-S-U-S. See the photos. :)

Gig: Port Sorell

Oddsox are heading down to Port Sorell to play at the Scripture Union Family Mission (SUFM) running during the first week of January. We're playing during the evening session on friday which starts at 6pm and includes food!

UPDATE: 15-Jan
It was good to go and play again after a few weeks' break. We got to play first outside with our speakers pointed towards the caravan park, to make sure everyone could hear. ;) We drew a fair crowd of kids who came to join in with the dancing and singing. The food provided was tasty and plentiful - savaloys, meat pies and later, donuts! After dinner all the gear had to be moved into the hall and we played some more for the SUFM evening activity. We were also able to join in with some bushdancing, which was loads of fun! All in all, a great gig - see you again next year, Port Sorell! :D
